Foreign Minister Stavros Dimas will be in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday, 27 and 28 February 2012, to participate in the meetings of the EU General Affairs and Foreign Affairs Councils (GAC/FAC).
The FAC proceedings will look at the situation in Syria and the course of the Middle East peace process. There will also be a review of the latest developments in Egypt and the Southern Caucasus region, as well as of progress in the Belgrade-Pristina talks.
The GAC agenda includes preparations for the European Council that is to take place in Brussels on 1 and 2 March, as well as a discussion of Serbia’s accession course.
Mr. Dimas will meet on the margins of the Councils with his Estonian counterpart Urmas Paet, with whom he will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the deepening of Greek-Estonian bilateral relations.
