Foreign Minister Droutsas’ statement following his meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Christofias (14 February 2011)

Foreign Minister Droutsas’ statement following his meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Christofias (14 February 2011)It is a great honor to be received by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Demetris Christofias. I thank him very much for the hospitality, and even more for the very constructive talks we had. As you know, Greek-Cypriot cooperation is ongoing and very close. A few days ago, we had the honor and pleasure of welcoming President Christofias to Athens, where he had a very good meeting with Prime Minister Papandreou, and today we had the opportunity to go into even further detail on the discussion we had in Athens. Jointly – as always – we are preparing our next moves, also ahead of my own meetings over the next few days in London and New York, where I will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. As I said, together – as always – we are preparing these moves, together with President Christofias, united we can face any challenge. Thank you very much.
