Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas will be in Rome on Thursday, 5 May, to participate in the second meeting of the international Contact Group on Libya, which will be co-chaired by Italy and Qatar.
The composition of the Contact Group was decided on at the 29 March London Conference on Libya, and the first meeting took place in Doha, Qatar, on 13 April.
On Friday, 6 May, Mr. Droutsas will be in Sofia, Bulgaria, to participate in a Forum on “Democratic Transition in Central and Eastern Europe and Change in the Middle East”. This Forum is being held within the framework of Bulgaria’s “Sofia Platform” initiative, which is aimed at transferring know-how from the period of democratic transition in countries of central and eastern Europe to interested countries in the Middle East.
