On Monday and Tuesday, 10 and 11 October, Foreign Minister Stavros Lambrinidis, accompanied by Alternate Foreign Minister MarilizaXenogiannakopoulou, will be in Luxembourg to participate in the meetings of the EU Foreign Affairs and General Affairs Councils (FAC/GAC).
The Foreign Affairs Council agenda includes the Southern Neighbourhood – specifically, the latest developments in Syria, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and Iran – the EU-China Summit and the Middle East peace process.
The General Affairs Council will focus on Cohesion Policy and measures for bolstering development, as well as on preparations for the October 17-18 European.
