The announcement of a test launching of a missile to – according to the North Korean government – place a scientific satellite in orbit, is a move on the part of Pyongyang that is both untimely and potentially destabilizing for the region of East Asia.
The Greek Foreign Ministry expresses its strong concerns at the prospect of this particular test being carried out, as it would be a blatant violation of North Korea’s international obligations, as determined by the Security Council, with serious repercussions for the security and peace of the Korean peninsula.
