“As we approach the referendum, which is the democratic expression of the right of every people to decide on their future, we would expect Spanish Prime Minister Rajoy to allow the Greek people to express themselves freely and to refrain from interventions that are inconsistent with the European political culture and might well be interpreted as a desire to oust a democratically elected government.
The Greek people will respond appropriately with their vote.”
