Foreign Ministry spokesman Delavekouras’ statement regarding the murder of an Israeli family in the West Bank

Foreign Ministry spokesman Gregory Delavekouras made the following statement regarding the murder of an Israeli family in a West Bank settlement:

“We unequivocally condemn the murder of a five-member Israeli family – including three young children – and express our deep condolences and support to their relatives and friends. The murder of children in their sleep is an inconceivably ungodly, inhuman and barbarous act.

The murderers must be brought to justice immediately.

The efforts to achieve peace in the region must be continued with composure. The relaunching of the peace process is imperative, as is the absence of unilateral actions that undermine the prospects of the peace process. The Greek government’s positions on the settlements are well known. They are positions dictated clearly by international law.

But any act of violence against civilians is condemnable, whatever its source.”
