Foreign Ministry spokesman Konstantinos Koutras stated the following in response to a journalist’s questions concerning an instance in which a journalist from the Skopje daily Dnevnik was denied entry into Greece:

“The Head of Greece’s Liaison Office in Skopje, Ambassador T. Lalakos, met today with the Foreign Minister of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia concerning the recent instance of a journalist from the Skopje daily Dnevnik’s being denied entry into our country, expressing Greece’s displeasure at the dimensions taken on in the neighbouring country by an issue that exclusively concerns Greek internal law and order.

Following the above-mentioned meeting and the relevant communication Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos had with his counterpart Nikola Poposki, the matter is considered closed.”
