Foreign Ministry spokesman Gregory Delavekouras stated the following in response to questions regarding articles published today in Turkish dailies (Star and Sozcu) regarding the closing of terrorist training camps in Greece:
“The Turkish newspapers’ claims are groundless and a product of the imagination. Terrorist training camps never opened or existed in Lavrio or anywhere else in Greece, so they can’t have been closed. It seems that there are those in Turkey who are irritated by the clear positions and good climate in Greek-Turkish relations evident from the joint press conference of the two Prime Ministers.”
