Greek diplomatic and medical mission arrives in Benghazi

An Air Force C-130 aircraft arrived in Benghazi, Libya, on Sunday, 22 May 2011, carrying diplomatic and medical personnel, as well as a mobile first aid unit and significant quantities of medical supplies.

The mission, which consists of three Foreign Ministry personnel and seven medical personnel – including two general surgeons, a general practitioner and a psychologist – will undertake the distribution of the medical supplies and preparation for receipt of the humanitarian aid to be sent on a ship chartered by the Greek state.
