Hellenic Air Force Super Puma participates in rescue operations in Montenegro

The Hellenic Air Force sent a Super Puma helicopter to Montenegro today, in response to the Montenegrin Defense Ministry’s request to the Foreign Ministry of Greece for assistance in the rescue operations for passengers on a train stopped by an avalanche, north of Podgorica, on 10 February 2012.

The Air Force helicopter took of from the 112th Battle Wing/Eleusina airport on Monday, 13 February 2012, at 17:49. 

The helicopter travelled via Corfu to Tivat, from where it will join the rescue operations tomorrow morning, in coordination with the responsible Montenegrin authorities.
