We gathered here in Berlin to discuss about the Western Balkans accession to the European Union. It is important that the Western Balkans remain on track for their European perspective. It is important to provide vision to the people of the Western Balkans, in order to accelerate this process that we fully support, obviously, and that has started by a Greek initiative, 21 years ago, in Thessaloniki.
The Western Balkans ought to fulfil the set criteria, especially the full adoption of European acquis and International Law. It is very important, it is crucial, for the European Union, amid two wars and huge challenges in our region and broader in the globe, that we remain stable. And stability comes with enlargement.
A bigger Europe is a stronger Europe.
