Accompanied by Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas and Finance Minister Giorgos Papankonstantinos, Prime Minister George Papandreou carried out a visit to Berlin on 21 and 22 February 2011.
During his stay in Berlin, Mr. Papandreou met with Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, as well as with the leaders of political parties. He also delivered a speech entitled, “Confronting the Economic Crisis: An opportunity for Europe,” at Humboldt University.
On Wednesday, Mr. Papandreou travels to Helsinki to meet with his Finnish counterpart, Mari Kiviniemi, and the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament.
