The Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General, Ambassador Yannis-Alexis Zepos, carried out a visit to Nicosia on Tuesday, 7 February, to hold consultations with his counterpart at the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Cyprus, Ambassador Nikolaos Emiliou.
The talks covered a wide range of issues of bilateral interest, and included an exchange of views on recent developments in international and regional issues.
Emphasis was put on the course of the Republic of Cyprus’s preparations for assuming the EU Presidency in the second half of 2012. In this Context, Ambassadors Zepos and Emiliou signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Greece’s assistance in supporting the Cypriot Presidency.
During his stay in Nicosia, Ambassador Zepos also met with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus, Dr Erato Kozakou−Marcoullis.
