The Foreign Ministry’s Secretary General for International Economic Relations and Development Cooperation, Peter Mihalos, will deliver the opening welcome speech at 10:00 on Thursday, 16 May 2013, at a Scientific Conference on the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) energy project, which is being co-hosted, at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s “Hermes” hall (EBEA, 7 Akadimias St., 6th floor), by Panteion University’s Institute of International Relations (IDIS) and the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE).
The conference will include a presentation of the conclusions of:
• the IDIS study, “TAP: Building a Southern European energy corridor. The geopolitical parameters and potential benefits for Greece,” and
• the IOBE study, “The economic repercussions for Greece of the construction and operation of the TAP.”
