We express our deepest concern about yesterday's incursion into a property owned by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the desecration of the Chapel there by members of a Jewish seminary.
We expect appropriate action to be taken by the competent Israeli authorities to investigate the incident, bring those responsible to justice and prevent similar illegal actions from happening again in the future.
Greece has consistently expressed its interest in the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Holy Shrines that are included in the established Status Quo of the Holy Land.
