Statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, following the meeting of the National Council on Foreign Policy (Foreign Ministry, 10 December 2019)Today I had the opportunity, in the context of the National Council on Foreign Policy, to brief the political parties on recent developments.

I am very pleased to say that national consensus and unity was ascertained.

This is the most powerful weapon in the arsenal of Greek foreign policy. And I want to say to the Greek people that the country is handling the very serious issues with gravity and composure.

Greece is self-confident. It is a European country at the core of the European Union and it can handle any problem.
