Ν. KOTZIAS: In the framework of the UN General Assembly, we have scheduled and indeed already had a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings. Today, we, the Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Greece, had the opportunity to gather, within the context of an intra-European cooperation set-up involving EU member-states from the South, to discuss issues concerning the Brexit, the future of the EU, cooperation in economic sectors, such as ICT, and the single market along with problems relevant to migration and the refugee crisis.
REPORTER: With regard to which issues did you talk of common actions?
Ν. KOTZIAS: There are common actions within the European Union, we have to deal with the way the EU should be constructed upon the UK leaving, we need to look into policies the EU is going to enforce, especially with regard to security, defense cooperation, European integration and the economy.
REPORTER: Are there coinciding views on managing the refugee and migration issue?
Ν. KOTZIAS: To a great extend there are, as we are all countries in the southern flank of Europe and we are directly affected by the impact refugee flows and the continuing war in the Middle East is having.
REPORTER: And why do you think of this initiative as important?
Ν. KOTZIAS: This is the first time, after a long time, that Greece is forging an inner alliance, of small and mid-size states, within the European Union, that have shared interests and common views.
REPORTER: Thank you very much.
