D. DROUTSAS: Thank you very much. I had always very fruitful and valuable exchange of views with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Mr. Amr Moussa, we have said this very often that the role of the Arab League for the developments in the region and also for the developments in Libya, are of crucial importance.
May I also repeat once again that Greece, from the very first moment, insisted that we have to continue the efforts for finding a political solution to the crisis in Libya and, in this respect, the cooperation with the Arab League is of utmost importance, and also the personal role of Amr Moussa in the developments is invaluable I would say.
Greece is part of the immediate neighborhood of the region, we feel proud that we can say that we have long-standing traditional ties and relations with the Arab World, relations of mutual understanding and mutual respect, and in this respect, and in this context, the role of Greece to try to contribute to a political solution to the Libyan crisis, is something that we deeply believe in.
You will find in Greece a partner that will work very intensively for a political solution for Libya and, again, the cooperation with the Arab League and with the Secretary General, Amr Moussa, is for us, of very high importance. Thank you very much.
Mr. Moussa: The Foreign Minister and I discussed Libya and the situation prevailing there. He also explained to me Greece’s positions regarding the designation of Crete as a departure point for shipping humanitarian aid. We also discussed the transitional council and communications between the Greek government and various political parties in Libya. Everything the Greek Foreign Minister told me was helpful, and I received a message from the Greek Prime Minister. We will be in ongoing contact with the Greek side regarding the situation and developments in Libya.
