Theodoros II: … the difficult times Egypt is going through, the Patriarchate of Alexandria is alive and has been in this hospitable country for 2000 years and will continue to be here.
Mr. Minister, thank you. We are guarding Thermopylae – myself, my bishops, my clergy, the missionaries – throughout Africa. You give us courage. We thank you very much and we will remain here, guardians of the Nation and of Orthodoxy.
Mr. Droutsas: Every meeting with His Beatitude is for me not just a special pleasure – it is an honor, an inspiration. His Beatitude’s work is so important, not just well known, but really very important for Orthodoxy, for Hellenism, in regions so important and so close to Greece. And that is why I want to thank him very much for his work, and particularly at such critical times as these for this region, where from the very outset he was a real link, a real bridge for Greece, here in Egypt and throughout North Africa.
Again, Your Beatitude, I thank you very much for all of your work.
Theodoros II: Thank you, Minister. Thank you.
