Ambassador Ioannis Kambolis served as Inspector General of the Foreign Ministry, Greek Ambassador to Amman, Greek Ambassador to Brussels, and Consul General in Sydney. He also served at the Greek Embassies in Paris and Bonn, and at the Chicago Consulate General, while he also mentored many younger diplomatic personnel as the Director of Greece’s Diplomatic Academy.
Ambassador Ioannis Kambolis was a very highly trained, multi-talented and conscientious diplomat who was distinguished for his civility, ethos and meticulousness, his dedication to the Diplomatic Service, and his great love for his homeland.
The leadership of the Foreign Ministry and all of Ioannis Kambolis’ colleagues express their deepest condolences to his loved ones.
