The Hellenic Diplomatic Academy (HDA) is implementing an important initiative aimed at informing students in schools and universities about the career opportunities offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This initiative, successfully launched last year, is gaining popularity and includes lectures and presentations by the HDA Director, Ambassador Michalis Diamessis, and other diplomats from the MFA as well as Candidate Embassy Attachés, at various schools and university faculties.
Through this programme, pupils and students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, explore career opportunities, discuss the challenges associated with this highly demanding career and request information on practical issues especially regarding the admission procedures to the Ministry.
Having already reached out to schools and universities whose alumni figure among the Ministry’s employees, the HDA is further expanding this initiative to public, private, model and experimental schools as well as in universities and faculties of different disciplines.
The response, so far, has been very positive with strong interest and meaningful dialogue, which reinforces and underlines the importance of continuing this initiative so that more young people have the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
