Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos will receive, on Monday 17 December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, N. Christodoulides, as well as the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, R. Malki, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the context of the 2nd Trilateral Meeting between Greece-Cyprus-Palestine which is taking place in Athens.
During the extended talks which will commence at 11:30 a.m., the three Ministers and their delegations will explore the possibilities of trilateral cooperation in areas of common interest such as tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, culture, and education. The proceedings of the trilateral meeting will continue with a working luncheon (13:00) and talks will focus on issues of regional interest as well as the Cyprus issue and the Palestinian issue. Upon conclusion of the proceedings, a Joint Communiqué will be adopted.
Prior to this, at 11:00 a.m., Mr. Katrougalos will have the chance to meet, on a bilateral level, with Mr. Christodoulides to discuss developments in the region as well as those related the Cyprus issue.
The following day, Tuesday, 18 December at 11:00 a.m., bilateral meetings will be held between Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos and Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, R. Malki. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening bilateral economic relations and educational/cultural cooperation.
