Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias to visit Germany (Berlin, 16 September 2019)
On Monday, 16 September, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will carry out a visit to Berlin, where he will meet with his German counterpart, Heiko Maas.
The talks will focus on bilateral, European and regional issues, such as the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, the migration issue, and the EU accession prospects of the countries of the Western Balkans.
The consultations on European issues are expected to cover recent developments with regard to Brexit and the Future of Europe. The agenda will also include further enhancement of bilateral political, economic and trade relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also be received by the President of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble.
Finally, he will be met with the heads of two respected German think-tanks, the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), Daniela Schwarzer and Volker Perthes, respectively.
