Alternate Foreign Minister G. Katrougalos and German European Affairs Minister M. Roth visit Documenta 14
Alternate Foreign Minister G. Katrougalos and German European Affairs Minister Michael Roth, accompanied by the Mayor of Kassel, Bertram Hilgen, and Athens Vice-Mayor Alexandros Modiano, visited this morning the Documenta 14 exhibition spaces at the Athens Conservatoire. Present at the meeting were the current CEO of Documenta 14, Annette Cullencampf, and the German ambassador to Athens, Peter Schoof.
The exhibition at the Athens Conservatoire extends to all of the buildings internal and external spaces, and all visual art genres (painting, sculpture, performance, etc.) are represented.
On the occasion of the opening of the Documenta 14 exhibition, Messrs. Katrougalos and Roth, in a joint article in today's "Kathimerini", stress the role that culture can play in the effort to revive the European endeavour as a message of unity and solidarity.
The exhibition will be officially inaugurated tomorrow morning, at a special event at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), by the Presidents of the Hellenic Republic and of the Federal Republic of Germany, Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, respectively.
