Διεθνή Καλοκαιρινά Εκπαιδευτικά Προγράμματα στα Χανιά από την Ελληνική Ένωση για την Ατλαντική & Ευρωπαϊκή Συνεργασία
Η Ελληνική Ένωση για την Ατλατνική και Ευρωπαϊκή Συνεργασία διοργανώνει φέτος δύο διεθνή καλοκαιρινά εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα στα Χανιά της Κρήτης: πρόκειται για τα προγράμματα “The International Academy for Advanced Studies” (19.7.-8.8.2013), το οποίο απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές, και το “Kernels of our Future” (14-30.7.2013), το οποίο απευθύνεται σε εφήβους 15-18 ετών.

The "Kernels of our Future” is an International Educational Program for young emerging leaders, based on informal education. It encompasses a series of activities destined to promote personal development, challenge perspectives, and enhance leadership qualities. Furthermore, the program gives the teenagers the opportunity to establish an International Network. It equips the youngster with the tools enabling them to become the leaders of tomorrow. “Kernels of Our Future” can provide unparalleled foundations to take them ahead in today’s global setting and equip them with skills, which can be more than useful in many other contexts in their future.
The program aims at bringing together young people aged 15-18 years old from more than 10 European countries and abroad, such as Italy, France, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Israel, Turkey, and the U.S.. During the 2 weeks program the youngsters will learn more about leadership, conflict management, microeconomics and trade, media techniques, civil society and its role, human rights and the political process through lectures, simulation games and interactive learning. The language of teaching is English, as this is an international program.
The participants are awarded with a Certificate at the Graduation ceremony to attest the acquired knowledge and skills.
The program will take place on 14-30 July in Chania, Crete.
Last application deadline: 30 April 2013
The cost per participant is 2.500 € (app. 3.200 $) and includes everything on site:
~ accommodation in double A/C rooms with private facilities
~ three meals per day for 14 days,
~ organized tours of Chania, Heraklion - Knossos & other sites,
~ local transportation for outings,
~ supervising instructors and facilitators,
~ materials, including books, bag, T-shirt, hat, etc..
A limited number of scholarships might be available on a competitive basis.

(North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and more) for a unique experience of interdisciplinary education and cross cultural communication, right on the birthplace of Europe. The academic program explores major fundamental ideas of contemporary issues, from political economy to geopolitics and environment, conflict management, civil society and its roots of Plato, and a lot more. In addition to classes, students participate in dialogue designed to promote intercultural understanding. This combination of activities leads to an exchange of ideas that cannot be gained elsewhere and unexpected friendships that interlock the four corners of the world.
The mission of the Academy is to enhance the leadership potential of outstanding young academics from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds and applying the principles of Socrates in education, engender value societies across the globe.
Upon successful completion of TIAAS students will receive the European Union Diploma Supplement, through our academic partners.
As a participant in TIAAS, students from a wide range of nationalities, religions, cultures and educational backgrounds, have the opportunity to learn, interact, and share their experiences in ways that can benefit their professional and personal development, in an ideal setting, comparing and contrasting languages, customs, and cultures with their counterparts, while forming friendships and a global network that can last a lifetime within the active alumni family.
Graduates of our programs have discovered how this vast network opens doors never thought of, leading to life changing opportunities in various corners of the world.

The International Academy for Advanced Studies is hosted at the campus of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece.
The 2013 dates are July 19 – August 8, and will accept students from all geographical regions.
The total cost of the program is 3.200 € (euros) and covers:
• registration fee of 800 €
• tuition
• educational material
• accommodation in double A/C rooms with private facilities
• three meals per day
• field trips
• special events
Τravel costs are not included as they vary from country of origin.
A number of competitive scholarships for the program cost will be available on the basis of academic, leadership potential and need criteria.
