Delegation of the Greek Parliament participated in promotion event for the Twinning Program undertaken by the Parliaments of Greece and Italy in order to strengthen the capacity of the National Assembly of Armenia regarding the supervision and implementation of the CEPA Agreement

The "EU Twinning Project - Strengthening the capacity of the National Assembly to further support CEPA oversight and implementation" took place on December 1st, 2021, at a central hotel in Yerevan. This program has been undertaken by the Greek and Italian Parliaments and aims to strengthen the capacity of the Armenian National Assembly to oversee and implement the CEPA Agreement.

The event was attended by a delegation of MPs and representatives of the αdministration of the Greek Parliament. The head of the Friendship Group with Armenia to the Greek Parliament Member of Parliament Mr. D. Markopoulos addressed a greeting speech, while the Round Table discussions were attended by MPs Mr. L. Tsavdaridis and Ι.-Μ. Loverdos.

In addition, in her presentation, the Project Leader from the Greek side, Mrs. E. Kanellopoulou underlined the stages of implementation and completion of the Program, while from the Armenian side, Mr. A. Yeghoyan (Head of the Committee for the European Affairs of the Armenian Parliament) and V. Naribekyan (Chief of Staff and Secretary-General of the Armenian Parliament) emphasized the multiple benefits of the Program for the Armenian Parliament, namely the strengthening of its institutions and its functioning.
