Foreign Minister N. Kotzias to visit Armenia (9-10 March 2017)
Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will carry out an official visit to Armenia on 9 and 10 March.
On
Thursday, 9 March, Mr. Kotzias will visit the Armenian Genocide Museum
in Yerevan, where a wreath-laying ceremony will take place. This will be
followed by a meeting with the Speaker of the Armenian National
Assembly, Galust Sahakyan, a working luncheon with Defence Minister
Vigen Sargsyan, a meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen
Karapetyan, at the Government Building, and a meeting with Patriarch
Karenin II of Armenia, at the Patriarchate of Armenia.
On Friday,
10 March, the Foreign Minister will meet at the Armenian Foreign
Ministry with his Armenian counterpart, Edward Nalbandian, and sign a
Memorandum of Cooperation between the Greek and Armenian Diplomatic
Academies and Foreign Ministries. Following their talks, the two
Ministers will hold a joint press conference.
Mr. Kotzias will
then visit Yerevan State University, where he will deliver a lecture
and, subsequently, be awarded an Honorary Doctorate.
Finally, Mr. Kotzias will be received by the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.
