How to apply for a visa after March 18th, 2020

Monday, 23 March 2020

1. Applications of third-country nationals wishing to travel by 18.4.2020, without belonging to the categories exempted* from the ban on entry into Greece, will NOT be admitted.

2. Applications of third-country nationals wishing to travel after 1.5.2020 will be accepted for examination but will be submitted exclusively to the offices of the collaborating Visa Center and not to the Embassy.

3. Applications for third-country nationals wishing to travel by 18.4.2020 and having not yet been examined may change their arrival schedule in Greece after 1.5.2020, by submitting new tickets in order to avoid either a rejection or inadmissible  status of their application.

4. Applications for third-country nationals who wish to travel by 18.5.2020 and have already received a visa will have the alternative to apply for a revocation of their visa and replacement at no cost by a new one, the validity of which will be starting after 1.5.2020.

5. Applications for third-country nationals wishing to travel from 18.4.2020 to 1.5.2020 may be admitted but their trip will be still in a significant risk of a future ban. We strongly recommend their arrival to be contemplated later than 1.5.2020 as a measure to reduce possible risk.

6. Interviews, if required, will not be held at the Embassy but at Visa Center premises.
