“Eurovillage” 2016

The 4th annual “Eurovillage”, organized by the Delegation of the European Union in cooperation with m-s Embassies, celebrated the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Union. The event took place in Baku Sea side Park (Baku Boulevard) on October 1, 2016 and was attended by almost 30.000 visitors. Its goal is to promote the EU by introducing people to the Union’s culture and different traditions. Songs, traditional dances and recipes were also demonstrated on the main stage. Students of the Greek studies Centre of Baku Slavic University and young members of Greek community “Argo” narrated Greek myths, gave Greek language courses as well as syrtaki dance classes and performed traditional Greek dance with an enthusiastic welcome of the audience. During the presentation of local flavours of Europe, Greek recipes were prepared using original Greek products.
