Foreign Minister Kotzias’ statement on the margins of the proceedings of the SEECP Ministerial (Pravets, Bulgaria, 31 May 2016)
“Twenty years ago, together with Bulgaria, we organized this
Intergovernmental Conference of Southeast Europe, and we are pleased to
see, 20 years later, that the “child” is developing.
In the
speech I made a short while ago, at this international conference, I
explained the positive steps that have been taken over the past 20
years: that today we are no longer living in the Balkans of wars, that
peace has made progress, that there is development and mutual
understanding in the region. But I also talked about the need for us to
shape a dream and cooperation for the region on its European path. Thank
you”
