The International Sarajevo Festival “Sarajevo Winter” is a traditional crossroad where artists and citizens of the world meet. The Festival was held for the first time during the Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games in 1984. Over its 35 years of existence the Festival has become an inseparable part of the City.
The Festival is held under the auspices of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the UNESCO General Director, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canton Sarajevo, and the City of Sarajevo.
