CROATIA: Measures for entrance in Croatia in the context of restricting the spread of COVID-19
The Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia, adopted new Decision (19.5.2020) on the temporary ban on crossing the state border at the border crossings of the Republic of Croatia, according which, in order to protect the population of the Republic of Croatia from COVID-19, the relatives prohibitions and restrictions shall be extended until 15 June 2020.
The Republic of Croatia, in accordance with the EC guidelines on temporary restriction of unimportant travel of third-country nationals across EU eχternal borders, applies more restrictive treatment of third-country nationals than EU/ Schengen nationals in the application of the Decision on temporary prohibition of crossing Croatian border crossings.
Certain restrictions are gradually being lifted and:
- Croatian citizens are now allowed to enter the Republic of Croatia, as well as to go abroad, without the obligation of self-isolation for 14 days, but in compliance with genera1 and special recommendations and instructions of the Croatian lnstitute of Public Health.
- Likewise, EU/Schengen citizens. as well as members of their families:
• are allowed to enter the Republic of Croatia, in compliance with general and special recommendations and instructions of the Croatian institute of Public Health when it comes to business reasons or other economic interests.
• are allowed to enter the Republic of Croatia, in compliance with general and special recommendations and instructions of the Croatian institute of Public Health when it comes to tourism reasons and they have proof of paid accommodation or reservation for an apartment / hotel, contract on α flat-rate lease of camp space, rental of α tourist boat or sailboat.
