GREECE: Εxtension of the measure in the context of restricting the spread of COVID-19 (Ref.: Gov. Gazettes: FEK 1839/B/13.5.2020, FEK 1849/B/14.5.2020, FEK 1850/B/ 14.5.2020, FEK 1860/ B/ 15.5.2020

1) Τhe ban for third-country nationals on crossing the Greek state borders shall be extended until 15.06.2020 at 23:00. Citizens of the EU and Schengen Countries are exempted from the implementation of this Decision.

2) The restrictive measures for self imposed isolation of persons entering the country from abroad are extended until 31.05.2020 and at 12:00.

3) The restriction of all connections with Turkey and United Kingdom shall be extended until 31.05.2020 at 15:00

4) The restriction of all air, sea, rail and road connections with Albania, as well as the ban on crossing the state borders from Albania  shall be extended until 31.05.2020 at 15:00. The following persons/ activities shall be exempted from the implementation of this Decision
•    Greek citizens, holders of a Special Identity Card for Expatriates, holders of a residence permit, as well as persons who have their main or usual residence in Greece
•    Truck drivers for the transport of goods
•    Shipping of goods by ship

5) The restriction of all air, rail and road connections with North Macedonia, as well as the ban on crossing the state borders from North Macedonia  shall be extended until 31.05.2020 at 15:00. The following persons shall be exempted from the implementation of this Decision
•    Greek citizens, holders of a residence permit, as well as persons who have their main or usual residence in Greece
•    Truck drivers for the transport of goods

6) The restriction of all air and sea  connections with Italy, shall be extended until 31.05.2020 at 15:00. Transports of goods by cargo ships and trucks are exempted from the implementation of this Decision.

7) The restriction of all air connections with Spain,  shall be extended until 31.05.2020 at 15:00.

Please NOTE that the following measures may apply to travelers of the cases  4,5,6,7, excluded from the implementation of the measures :
•    the imposition of clinical and laboratory medical examinations, as well as measures of preventive health monitoring, vaccination, medication and preventive  hospitalization of persons from areas where a large prevalence of the disease has been observed,
•    the imposition of preventive health inspections and clinical or laboratory tests at all or some points of entry and exit from the country through air, sea, rail or road connections with countries which present a high prevalence of the disease,
•    the temporary isolation of persons so as any transmission of the disease could be prevented. Isolation may be implemented in a suitable place of hospital, health structure, medical institution, in suitable public or private temporary accommodation facilities, or at home, depending on the decision of the competent body each time.
8) The restriction of the arrival in ports and port facilities of the country of all professional marine recreational vessels (such as cruise ships and yachts), regardless of flag and coming from any country abroad, and of the passenger disembarkation from these vessels, shall be extended until 31.05.2020 at 15:00. If the ships are empty of passengers and do not come from countries for which more specific restrictive measures apply, they are allowed to arrive exclusively at shipyards in mainland Greece, by presenting appropriate certificates by the shipyards, with the permission of the competent Port Authority after agreement of the Secretariat for Civil Protection. For cruise ships, restrictive measures still apply.
