No. 2926/2020/MZ: Decision amending the Decision on the temporary ban on crossing the state border at the border crossings of the Republic of Croatia

The Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia, on 24 June 2020, adopted the Decision amending the Decision on the temporary ban on crossing the state border at the border crossings of the Republic of Croatia. With this Decision, in order to protect the population of the Republic of Croatia from COVID -19, a special regime of entrance to the Republic of Croatia is established for persons coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo * , the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia.

Persons from the above mentioned countries are required to self-isolate in their home or other adequate accommodation for 14 days after entering to the Republic of Croatia.

The obligation of self-isolation does not apply:

-to persons coming the above mentioned countries and travelling through the Republic of   Croatia

-to persons who enter the Republic of Croatia after transiting through the above mentioned countries

The Decision came into force on 25 June 2020.

*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
