Alternate FM Tsakalotos meets with the Egyptian Ambassador (Athens, 4 March 2015)

Alternate Foreign Minister Euclid Tsakalotos met at the Foreign Ministry today with the Egyptian Ambassador to Greece, Ahmed Fouad El Bidewy.

The Egyptian Ambassador briefed Mr. Tsakalotos on the preparations for the coming International Conference for the Support and Development of the Egyptian Economy (13-15 March 2015, Sharm El Sheikh), to which the Greek side has been invited.

Also discussed were issues of bilateral economic relations and, in particular, the potential for further cooperation between the two countries’ ports, as well as the issue of attracting additional Greek investments to Egypt. Finally, Mr. Tsakalotos briefed his collocutor on the government’s priorities in the economic sector and on Eurozone issues.
