Foreign Ministry announcement on the murder of the Egyptian Attorney General

We unequivocally condemn the brutal murder of Egypt’s Attorney General, Hisham Barakat, in Cairo.

We express our support for the victim’s loved ones and for the friendly Egyptian people and government, as well as our certainty that such actions aimed at destabilizing Egypt are doomed to failure.
