Political Relations

The two countries cooperate closely within the framework of international organizations; particularly the European Union and NATO.

Estonia became a NATO and EU member in 2004, and its relations with Greece were thus strengthened even further.

For many years, there have been parliamentary friendship groups in both countries.

1922: Greece recognizes Estonia as independent Sovereign State 

1991: The re-establishment of the diplomatic relations between Greece and Estonia.
