Photographic exhibition " Pontic Greeks in Adjara-The Past and the Future" on the occasion of the celebration of the 198th Anniversary of the Independence of the Hellenic Republic.

On the occasion of the celebration of the 198th Anniversary of the Independence of the Hellenic Republic, the  Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Georgia organized a photographic exhibition " Pontic Greeks in Adjara-The Past and the Future", followed by a reception.

The exhibition presented fifty (50) photos and items from the 19th century to nowadays witnessing the presence of Greeks in the region of Adjara from the antiquity to the modern era.

Deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs  Vakhtang  Makharoblishvili, representatives of the Georgian Patriarchate, parliamentarians, officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps  and International Organizations, members of the Federation of Greek Communities in Georgia  and others honored with their presence the event.
