Preventive measures by the Government of Georgia regarding the spread of new COVID-19 - Georgia bans entry of foreign citizens

New decisions have been made within the framework of the Preventive Measures of Coronavirus Spread in Georgia at the next meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council, which was held today (16.3.20) by the Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

1. It shall be prohibited for all foreign citizens to enter the state border of Georgia (air, land or sea travels) for two weeks starting from March 18;

2. Temporary closures of Georgian ski resorts;

3. Cafes, restaurants and bars are recommended to temporarily restrict direct service to citizens and to operate only so-called withdrawal/delivery services;

4. The Government Administration setσ up a monitoring mechanism for the implementation of these decisions;

5. Citizens over the age of 70 are advised to avoid public places as much as possible and to remain in isolation as far as possible to avoid a potential threat to their health;
