Visit of members of Greek Parliament to Tbilisi (4-7 April 2015)

The Deputy General Secretary of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy Mr. Ioannis Amanatidis, and the member of the Education Committee of the I.A.O Mr. Athanasios Bouras visited Tbilisi from 4 to 7 April 2015, to participate in a joint meeting of the Committee on Culture and Education of I.A.O. A seminar entitled "Education and Culture as the basis of the Orthodox tradition" was held.

Mr. Amanatides and Mr. Bouras  met with Patriarch of Georgia Ilias, with the President of the Parliament Mr. Ousoupasvili and other officials.

They also visited the Federation of Greek Communities of Georgia where they informed of the problems. They visited the Greek Medical Institute "Hippocrates" and informed by its Director Mr. Stamatof  for the Foundation's activities.

Finally, they visited the Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Tbilisi and met with the Director, professor Mr. Gorndeziani and professors of the Institute.
