Aliki Koutsomitopoulou, Ambassador
Aliki Koutsomitopoulou was born in Athens in July 1967. She is married.
She Studied Mathematics at the University of Patras and Political Science at the Institute d’ Etudes Politiques, Aix en Provence.
In May 1998 she joined the Hellenic Foreign Service and until August 2001 she served in various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens.
From August 2001 until October 2005, she served at the Embassy of Greece in Madrid. Then she was transferred to the Embassy of Greece in Cairo, where she served until September 2008.
In September 2008 she returned to Athens where she worked for the Department for Schengen, Justice and Home Affairs at the MFA until September 2009. In October 2009 she assumed duties at the Cabinet of the Secretary General of the MFA. In September 2010 she became Chief of Staff of the Secretary General.
In January 2013 she was transferred to the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi where she served as Deputy Head of Mission until August 2018.
In September 2018 she assumed duties as Head of Unit at the Permanent representation of Greece to the EU.
In August 2021 she returned to Athens and from October 2021 until December 2022 she worked as Head of Department for Schengen, Justice and Home Affairs at the MFA.
In January 2023 she was appointed Head of Diplomatic Cabinet of the Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs.
