Procedure for Attestation of Documents issued by the authorities of Bangladesh/Nepal/Sri Lanka
In order to present duly certified documents to the Greek Authorities, we bring to your kind attention that the procedure described below needs to be followed.
1. The required documents must be attested by the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairsof Bangladesh / Nepal / Sri Lanka.
2. After attestation by the respective Foreign Ministry, the applicant/family member/representative should submit the documents to the VFS Office in Bangladesh/Nepal/Sri Lanka for verification, along with 30 Euros Diplotypo/Paravolo for each document (Paravolo or Diplotypois obtained by the interested person in Greece).
3. After receiving the Report from the VFS, and if the Report of the verification is Green (or Positive), the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi verify the specimen signature of the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs and attest the document. In this case, the 30 Euros Paravolo or Diplotypo is used in order to put the Official stamp on the document which validates the authenticity of the document. Thereafter, the Embassy returns the attested document to VFS New Delhi.
4. Incase the Report is Red (or Negative)the Embassy do not attest the document and will return the 30 EurosDiplotypo or Paravolo, along with the original documents and the refusal letter, to VFS New Delhi.
5. In both cases (No. 3 & 4), VFS New Delhi will further return the documents to the respective VFS Offices in Bangladesh/Nepal/Sri Lanka to be given back to the applicant.
