Possible eruption of Mt. Agung volcano in Bali

Tuesday, 26 September 2017

According to all available information, eruption of Mt. Agung volcano is imminent, though not certain. Mt Agung is located on the north east area of the island of Bali.

The Indonesian authorities have created a 12km radius security perimeter around Mt Agung, from where 10.000 individuals have already been evacuated.

In the event of an eruption, NgurahRai international airport will most likely suspend its operations and, consequently, Bali will be only accessible by sea.

We recommend that all Greek travelers in Indonesia contact their airlines and  follow the guidance of Indonesian authorities.
