1. Until June 15th, 2020, citizens of non-EU and non-Schengen member states are not allowed to enter Greece, with the exceptions outlined in the Common Ministerial Decision No. Δ1α/ΓΠ.οικ. 19030. From June 15th, 2020 onwards, international flights will be allowed into Athens and Thessaloniki international airports. If your travel originated from an airport not in the EASA affected area list (https://www.easa.europa.eu/SD-2020-01/Airports#group-easa-downloads), then you are only subject to random tests upon arrival. If you originate from an airport on the EASA affected area list, then you will be tested upon arrival. An overnight stay at a designated hotel is required. If the test is negative then the passenger self-quarantines for 7 days at a place of his/ her choosing. If the test is positive, the passenger is quarantined under supervision for 14 days at a place designated by the competent Authorities

2. The residence permits that have expired between February 11th, 2020 and May 12th, 2020 and are subject to renewal, as well as the certificates of applications (“blue papers”) that have expired between March 12th, 2020 and May 12th, 2020 and are subject to renewal, can be renewed up to (but no more than) five (5) months after the expiration date.

3. The current residence permits and “blue papers” are considered to be extended for the period between the expiration date and the date of application for a new residence permit (within the aforementioned 5 month period).

4. National visas (Type D) that have expired between March 11th, 2020 and August 31st, 2020 are extended till September 30th, 2020. However, please be informed that, if you have such a visa, you can use it only once. This visa is no longer valid after one trip to Greece.

5. From Tuesday June 9th, 2020, ratification and legalization of documents will be resumed in the Consular Section every Monday and Wednesday (apart from the week of June 7th to 11th, when ratifications and legalizations will be carried out on Tuesday June 9th, Wednesday June 10th and Thursday June 11th). Please be aware that the documents will be received between 10:00 and 12:00 and will be handed out between 14:00 and 16:00. Please also bear in mind that only one person at a time will be accepted in the Consular Section and that sanitary measures apply.
