May 2021 Greek Language Exams Postponed

Due to the ongoing critical situation and the uncertain unfolding of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, both in Greece and around the world, and because an ever increasing number of exam centers are raising concerns about their ability to hold the exams for a second consecutive year,
it is imperative that the Centre for the Greek Language (CGL) reevaluate its initial exam schedule, and postpone the May 2021 exams.

The exams will be held in the 1st week of October 2021.
The exact dates will be announced on the website of the Embassy of Greece in Ireland and the website of the Department for Greek Language Certification, https://www.greek-language.gr/certification/node/15.html.

There will also be a new registration period for the October exams (1 to 28 June 2021).

Regarding the registration:

Candidates who have applied and paid the exam fees, their application will be automatically transferred and will be valid for the new exam period which is yet to be announced.
Candidates who have applied, but have not yet paid the exam fees, should either complete their registration until 21 March 2021 or wait and reapply in the new registration period (1 to 28 June 2021).
Candidates who have not yet applied, should wait and apply in the new registration period (1 to 28 June 2021), when the registration platform will be activated again, https://www.greek-language.gr/certification/application/index.html.
