Second place in the virtual Model Council of the European Union debate for secondary schools for St. Mary's College, Naas, Co.Kildare representing Greece, Dublin 23/4/2021

The Model Council of the European Union debate for secondary schools  took place this year online on Friday, 23 April. The event was opened by the Minister of State for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne TD. Greece was role-played by St. Mary's College, Naas, Co. Kildare that won Second Place. In the run-up to the event the Greek Ambassador, Mrs. Ekaterini Simopoulou, participated in a virtual meeting with the students from St. Mary's College who were briefed by the Ambassador on the Greek positions on health coordination at EU level and on the measures taken by the Greek government in response to Covid-19 pandemic. After the results were announced, Ambassador Simopoulou congratulated the students for their excellent commitment and engagement.
