Ambassador Lampridis inaugurated on Tuesday 12/01/16 a series of lectures which will take place at The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute and at the Haifa University from January to June 2016, focused on offering the audience an inside perspective into the consequences of the crisis in Greece. His lecture, titled “Greece and Europe at crossroads: An insight on current Greek Politics in Europe and the East Mediterranean” touched upon a variety of aspects ranging from Europe’s historic evolution to a common vision ahead for a united, democratic and humane Europe, going through the root causes and particulars of the Greek crisis, the drastic political shift that occurred in Greece and the ongoing refugee crisis. Finally, he elaborated on the relation between Greece and Israel, who remain two of the few pillars of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.
