Event on the occasion of the National Day (March 25)

On the occasion of Greece’s National Day (March 25), the Embassy of Greece in Israel hosted on March 29 a reception at the Y. Rabin Center in Tel Aviv.

We were honored by the presence of his Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III, the Israeli Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology Ofir Akunis and a large number of attendees, representatives from Israel's political, economic, business, media, science and culture spectrum, members of the diplomatic community and, of course, Greek citizens living and/or working in Israel.

In their speeches, both the Ambassador of Greece to Israel Kyriakos Loukakis and Minister Ofir Akunis stressed the excellent level of bilateral relations and the will of both states to further enhance them on the basis of the friendship and respect that connect the people of Greece and Israel.

At the event, the famous Greek-Israeli singer and songwriter Yehuda Poliker performed well known Greek songs, while the quintet "Ensemble Mezzo" performed works by Greek composers M. Theodorakis and M. Hatzidakis.
