Greek classic music day on Israeli State Radio

On June 12, Israel State Radio (Kol Ha Musica), in cooperation with the Embassy of Greece in Tel Aviv, organized a special broadcasting day of Greek classical and up to date music.

The program started with an hourly show, presented by Ambassador Lampridis and the Director of the Radio Station, Mr. Arie Yass, with an emphasis on the roots and the historical evolution of modern Greek music.  During the whole day, Kol Ha Musica also broadcast works of modern Greek composers, such as Hatzidakis, Theodorakis, Spanoudakis, Remboutsika, Karaidrou, Mikroutsikos and Markopoulos, as well as sephardi music from Thessaloniki and Rhodes.
